Step 4 - Community mobilization

To prepare for the actual sand dam construction, the following steps must be taken.
• Transporting equipment and tools to the construction site,
• Involving skilled and unskilled labour. Elderly at the head of community committee are in charge of mobilizing community members because of their respected position and accepted authority in the community.
• The implementing partner will provide a representative at the grassroots’ level; he/she will coordinate all activities. He/she advises elderly on community mobilization and participation.
